How do i change my myspace profile to profile 1.0?

i wanna change it back to 1.0 but now that its 2.0 i cant change it. what do i do to change it back to 1.0 A.K.A the backgrounds. and i didnt make it after 8/5/09

How to: Change MySpace 2.0 layout back to 1.0?

I recently joined MySpace and want my profile to go back to the 1.0 layout. If I'm correct, I don't think new users can do this? But I'm not entirely sure. I have tried putting MySpace layouts on and they don't work. I am positive I have the right code and that I put it in the right place. Help?
How to: Change MySpace 2.0 layout back to 1.0?
There IS an option.

But unfortunately this option was removed for myspace users who created their account after April 1st, 2009.



There are codes to make it LOOK like a 1.0, but the codes for your profile layout won't work.

If you'd like just the look, here's a code to make it look 1.0

Clear all codes from your CSS box under customize profile and copy and paste this into there:

No, you cannot change back to 1.0 when you are new to myspace. Only older users can change back and forth as they go!



Same thing happened to me, I hate the layout now..

But whatever. Facebook is better now anyways!

GO TO COSTOMIZE PROFILE THEN AT THE VERY TOP CLICK ON GO BACK AND THEN CLICK ON SWITCH BACK TO PROFILE 1.0

    well you have to use myspace 2.0 layouts for myspace 2.0.And the reason why it probably didnt show %26quot;switch back to 1.0%26quot; is because you probably signed up after april 1st.

    I know this question gets asked ALOT, and I used to know a trick to put my profile back too 1.0. The trick was to make a blog, then go back to your home page, click customize and it would give you the option to go back to myspace profile 1.0 but myspace found out and freaking blocked it! There is a ''go back to myspace profile 1.0'' button but when i click it, it does not do anything. it just says ''start from scratch'' and it goes right back to profile 2.0. Is there a way to get around that or am i basically screwed? haha.

    I recently changed my profile back to 1.0, because I didn't like 2.0. And before I changed it to 2.0, I had edited my profile with the profile editor, and since it's not working right now I can't change it back. Ive tried all the codes I can think of and it still comes out as transparent.

    as of april 4, 2.0 is the default and only layout available for use by new myspacers;

    Please help me, something poped up on myspace telling me about the new profile 2.0 so I said what the heck, why not give it a try. Well I did and now all my colors are diffrent %26amp; everything. You can even read my profile because the letter's are dark %26amp; my background is dark.     If you go to edit profile there should be a thing that says change it back, but sometimes it doesn't always work.
    Go to where you edit your profile. On the top of the page, there's a bunch of links in blue (NOT the normal Myspace bar).

    One of the options should be something do with %26quot;Myspace Profile 2.0%26quot; or something similar. You SHOULD be able to change it back from there.
    Go to edit profile.. at the top it will say go back.. and then click that.. then it will give you the option to go back to 1.0. i hope that helped.

    Some where on the top of the page when you go to edit profile there is a button that says back to 1.0 profile. Just keep on looking, it took me a while to find it too... but trust me it's there... you don't have to go to any websites or anything... its on MySpace.

    i made another myspace, but it automatically started out with 2.0 i::

    1.went to home

    2.clicked customize profile

    3.clicked the %26quot;go back to 1.0%26quot; button

    If you've signed up after April 1 2009, this isn't possible, since users are automatically assigned the newer version of myspace.



    However, if you're a user who registered prior to this, you can switch back to myspace 1.0 layout. Here's how:



    1. Go to the Profile tab

    2. Choose customize profile

    3. You should be able to see a link to the right that says 'Go back to Profile 1.0'

    4. Select 'Switch to profile 1.0' in the popup.

    5. Click confirm

    Click back to 1.0 and it'll say are you sure or something and then you click yes go back to 1.0.
    go to edit profile

    find where it says go back to 1.0 profile

    and click yes.
    you go to edit profile then at the top of the page click NEW! - customize profile. then at the top when you get to your page and see all the backgrounds go at the top of th page where its says go back control panels and modules. click go back click switch to profile and there you have it no more 2.0 :]

    The original - now known as 1.0 since 2.0 came out

    and then there is 2.0 which many people don't like but comes automatically for new signups
    There was nothing before 1.0. You just have 1.0 and 2.0. If you switch to 2.0, your stuck with it. Hopefully myspace will change that soon.

    ok this is simple go to customize profile and in the top right corner it should say something like go back or start over something lik that then it will say go back to 1.0 click yes and presto

    First you go to customize profile then at the top of that you go to go back to 1.0, and by clicking start from scratch it will reset everything, then it should look like a normal profile.
    Its easy :)

    Just go into 'Customize Profile' and in the top Right Hand Corner there should be a button named 'Exit'.

    Click on that and it will come up with a box containing:



    DISCARDE CHANGES

    SAVE CHANGES

    GO BACK TO PROFILE 1.0



    and just click on 'go back to profile 1.0'

    :)

    3.if you're using profile 2.0, you'll see Profile 2.0 - Customize Profile (on the top left corner of the page) and Go Back to Profile 1.0 (on the top right corner of the page, just left of Control Panel)

    4.click Go Back to Profile 1.0 and choose whether you want to redesign your entire 2.0 Profile from scratch or Switch to Profile 1.0 (on the pop-up)

    5.click Confirm and you're done!

    If you signed up for MySpace after April 1, 2009, your only option in the pop-up will be to Start from scratch, or you can x out to return to the Customize Profile page.



    P.S. Hey, if you change your mind, you can always follow the same steps and Upgrade to 2.0 (and back again).

    follow these steps..

    First go to Manage Blog from your Myspace home.

    Look at My Controls and create New Blog Entry.

    Fill Subject and Body with any text then click on Preview and Post.

    Confirm blog posting by clicking Post.

    Go back to your Home page or Profile then go to Customize Profile, At the top click on Go Back.

    Click on Switch Profile 1.0 now you are done.
    If you made your account after April 1, you no longer have the option to go back to 1.0.
    I guess if you made your myspace after April of 2009 you can't change it back to 1.0..
    well when you made your profile now it is 2.0 and you cant change it.

    ok i go on customize profile but it dosen't let me go back because, before the link/button would say 'switch back to 1.0' and now its says 'revert to old profile' like wtf i click on it and it says %26quot;Is the new profile not for you?     Tom made 2.0 the new myspace default so anyone who signs up after April 2nd will have 2.0 and not 1.0. i hope that helped

    There is no way to switch it back. Any account started after april 2nd, 2009 can't have 1.0, i know it sucks. But you can find really cool 2.0 layouts here:

    Make sure you are adding 2.0 layout code to your new myspace and make sure that you put it in the css box, not the About me for 2.0.

    There are directions on the page I linked above, you will see them next to the code box of the layout you pick.



    Another option is for you to open a musician/band myspace account because they are 1.0 style because 2.0 does not work for music myspace accounts. BUT keep in mind that not all layouts will work correctly for the music myspace. Some do and some dont it depends on whats in the layout.
